Something Fierce (Underground, 1) by Jenika Snow

His profession is brutal, savage. Violent.

And it turns her on.

When Tristan got a new roommate in the form of a six-foot-three tattooed and pierced beast of a man, she wasn’t prepared for the instant lust that claimed her. She should have made sure this stayed strictly platonic in nature, but it seemed Kash might have other plans in mind.

The attraction was magnetic and powerful. It was undeniable, no matter how hard they fought it.

When she stumbled upon an underground cage fight, the last person she expected to see was Kash, bloody and bruised and destroying his opponent. She should have run the other way, but instead she found herself aroused and wanting him even more.

Kash was a fighter and a damn good one at that. He’s stayed away from relationships and focused on his craft.

And it’s worked out well for him … until now.

He didn’t mean to get involved with his new roommate, but the curvy little brunette had every possessive instinct in him rising. From the moment he saw her, he was obsessed.

But those well-thought-out intentions are a thing of the past.

Now that he has Tristan, he’s not letting her go.

Warning: If you’re used to Jenika’s insta-love dirty books, you’re still getting it with this one. It has a HEA and features a totally obsessed hero who only wants one woman. Previously published under the same title, this story has been extensively reworked, new content has been added, and it has been re-edited.

3571545wbtisub3yeGritty Hot Fantastic read, Best yet from Jenika Snow, She is in my list of one click queens, never disappoints whether it’s an MC, A Mountain Man or Royalty, now we get a cage fighter who was a tortured soul, Kash was just lip lickingly fabulous, everything an alpha should be, You wanted to mother him as well as have hot screaming sex with him, at times I just wanted to wrap my arms around him hug him and never let go. The best part was it was a slow tortured build up between them which I loved, it wasn’t instant get into bed. Tristan (unusual name as this is a male name in the UK) was a great female lead, tough when she needed to be, soft when she was needed, yet she saw Kash for who he was and allowed Kash to be. Kash’s back ground story it is heartbreaking. With such an awful and frightening upbringing like his there’s no surprise Kash a man of his build and size turned himself around and channeled his anger and hatred the pure frustration of been helpless into this machine of a man who delivered lethal non forgiving punches. His beginning is sad yes but watching him recognise what love is and feels like was monumental, the ending had to be happier, It also made a change that it was the male who was a tortured soul. Made for a much more interesting read. I love Kash, I love how fierce, loyal he and just how protective he became over Tristan, no matter how much he fought it. Kylie her friend I loved. The scenes between Tristan and the bad guy Max had my mouth open waiting to see this fucker get his comeuppance, but this is my main irk with the book, I did not like the fact that Tristan was just washing under the carpet so to say about what that Max tried to do, the fact that she was drugged was not mentioned again, and she didn’t go to the police, she was nearly raped or killed and yet didn’t think if it happened to her it could have or was happening to someone else. That sucked in my book. which is why I dropped it from a 5 star read to a 4, yes he was caught but not before more serious damage was done, in this day and age that kind of thing should NEVER EVER be washed away all though I know it is other than that it was bloody fantastic.

First it is not PARANORMAL

How do I write a review on a book, without giving away any of the plot, because giving away just one part this story will truly spoil the book for other’s? This is my dilemma after reading GHOSTGIRL by JB Salsbury. that literally took my breath away, it was an original superb fantastically good read, but also sadly for me ended on a Flipping Cliff hanger. JB SALSBURY is a new author to me but if this is what she puts out, she has a new fan, I would go as far to say that it is up there so far this year with My Torin by K Webster, Tragic Beauty by Iris Ann Hunter,  Midnight Blue  by LJ Shen, The Bikers Baby by Sam Crescent, Welcome to the Dark Side, Giana Darling as my favorites of the year so far !!!I I truly can’t begin to describe the story I have just finished reading.Or how much it effected me.

GHOSTGIRL is such an amazing story. The storyline is unique and captivating reals you in from page 1 till the very last. I have never read anything like this book before. I love new ideas and authors who push the boat out. Gets you out of your comfort zone, and makes you look at things in a complete and humbling way. This book does that and more.

My review is going to be very different than what I usually put out, focusing on the sheer depth of feelings while reading the book. I will try not to talk about the story line at, my advice is to go in blind as just one aspect of it will spoil your enjoyment. It does deal with things that as an English woman I don’t understand, I have seen it obviously , and the news reports and on films, but this we don’t have or at least not like America does and that is Gangs, that is all I will say on the subject, because I truly don’t want to say anything that will detract your enjoyment from this book. The author has written it in Dual ‘POV’, but for the most part it is from Milo’s ‘POV’. It is told mostly in the present tense, but you also get flashbacks throughout the story. Which I normally don’t like but with this particular book it works.

The book ripped out my heart, had it racing so fast at one time. I have cried shouted screamed especially at that bloody cliff hanger. As the author guides you through the passages your mind throws up question after question and some are answered, but new ones arise by the end. Some reviews Say it doesn’t end on a Cliff-hanger but it does, it could I suppose end there but with a lot of unanswered questions. It has left me wanting more. so. Mercy and Milo’s story has to continue there for it is a cliff hanger and I personally can’t wait to see what happens. I also don’t think you need to wait for the next book to come out. This is one you can enjoy now! Which is why I am doing the review as you all know how much I HATE them. I personally will read this again it was that good.
I want to say this book is a cross between a Young Adult and New Adult romance. This is a clean romance and I do like the Smut, but I think for this book you didn’t need it. You would have sullied the female lead and you don’t need that believe me you do not need it.  Milo is 20 years old but is still a Senior in high school. I promise you will understand more when you read this book. Mercy is also in high school.

I met Liam when I was sixteen years old. There was something about him that tempted me to break all the rules. I was enthralled by his bad boy ways, but I knew there was so much more to him—a side of Liam that he didn’t allow people to see.

Little did I know, he’d save me on what could’ve been the worst day of my life. At that point, there was no going back. He was my everything. I felt safe in his arms.

Until someone tried to kill me.

I was only seventeen years old when I met Paisley, and I haven’t been able to keep my eyes off her ever since.

She was everything I wasn’t, but that didn’t stop me from wanting her, from making her mine. I’d love and protect her with my life.

The cartel started gunning for her, and that was the worst decision they could have made. They’ll never know what hit them…

Liam (Devil Souls MC Book 4) by LEANN ASHER
Liam is book four in the Devil Souls MC series. I have been waiting not so patiently to get my hands on this book since I finished Butchers Story which I loved, since Liam was introduced in name only in Torch’s story then we got him in Ethan and Braelyn’s story.
Also, with the little snippets of him and Paisley mentioned in the previous books in this series left me even more eager for him.
I Truly love the Devil Souls series; For me it depicts a great MC, that I want to join, it is up there for me among the great MC books like The Reapers by Joanna Wylde, and Sam Crescent Chaos Breeds and Skulls, all of them are in my top 20 favorite book series. Usually with a series, I have a favorite hero but not this series. I love and want them all!
I absolutely adored Liam and Paisley. They are perfect for one another. It was going to take the right man indeed to be able to get Paisley after all her Daddy is Torch, the chemistry, passion between them is of the Richter scale. I loved that Paisley waited for Liam. She didn’t waver on her feelings for him once.
I loved possessive and protective Liam. I was laughing out loud at his and Torch’s snipping at each other over Paisley. I also liked that Paisley could stand up for herself. Yes, she didn’t like violence but when it came to protecting her love ones and getting revenge, the cards were off the table and she was going for it. She was kick ass when she needed to be. I loved the friendship Paisley had with Vanessa. I liked that she was protective of her friend.
Paisley isn’t a weak-kneed character. Which was to be expected with Torch for a daddy and so many of the others who looked after her growing up, she was strong, confident, loving and kickass. She proved her strength when she didn’t whine or run away and hide after what happened to her and her back.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and an action packed sweet read. I cannot wait for more books from this series. I would most definitely recommend reading these books in the correct order, so you get the back-story on all the characters. You do need it, or you will have no clue who anyone is.
This story didn’t disappoint me one little bit, Liam and Paisley have been in love with each other since high school, but they don’t get together until there in their twenty’s!! Their love is raw and powerful that they both waited for each other and where each other’s firsts and Leann has written it beautifully, there path was not easy but when is it for most of us especially if it is something worth having!! I absolutely loved this book and can’t wait to read the next in this series. Well done LEANN ASHERS on another fantastic book to the series !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
